Home alone - Home Alone Reviews
When I first watched this movie as a kid, it was one of the funniest comedies of the 90's. It's the story of a kid named Kevin McCallister, who starts a family feud with his brother after he made a disparaging remark about pizza. Kevin spears his brother into a table, which causes a family riot. He's sent to his room by his mother after an argument with her. He says some things he didn't mean and vice versa. When he wakes up in the morning, his family is gone on vacation in Florida. At first, Kevin is happy to be home by himself, but when he is startled by an old man (who happens to be his neighbor), and two house robbers, Kevin wishes that his family was back home. Near the end, Kevin befriends the old man in a church, who at first seemed like a maniacal killer, but turned out to be generous and kind. Going home, Kevin is about to eat until the "Wet Bandits" (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) invade his house. Before their arrival, the kid sets traps all around the house for the guys to witness. Back to the story: They invade the house, and quite simply: THEY GET THEIR CLOCKS CLEANED BY THE KID. They finally manage to capture Kevin, but the old man saves Kevin with a shovel to both of the robbers. The police take away the idiotic duo, while Kevin is reunited with his family the next morning. When his father asked him what he's been up to while they were away, Kevin replies "Just fooled around". In the first two Home Alone movies, Kevin never tells his family what he goes through while he's by himself. This kid is some piece of work. If you enjoyed the first one, check out 2 and 3, and for your own safety, skip number 4. I never watched it, nor do I intend to watch it, but I can tell that it is really bad movie just by looking at the commercial on T.V., and looking at others people's reviews on it.
